I just acquired an FT-107m and I have a question.

The display is useless. On power up, it will show different characters
and not change at all while the frequency is changing.
The mode LEDs change when different modes are selected.

Is this the chip problem I've seen kits for or is it something else on
the counter board?

Where is the best place to acquire the modification?

Any thing else I should look for?
