A Newbie shouldn't have a FT1000MP.......but then again it's like any
other
hobby now...go out and buy a load of expensive equipment...get fed
up...sell
it and move on to next hobby ...do it all again.....

Why knock it? That benefits those who buy the equipment they get
fed up with!

newbie to HF or to Amateur Radio you ****ing idiots - I am sure all
you pompus old duffers were new to a mark 5 when you first got yours,
and had trouble setting it up and had to ask some help?

I have been a licensed radio amateur for over 15 years.

Well said? The entire post came across as something a thug with a chip on

cannot make a point without inserting an expletive after every word?

Simon, the only reason we "pillocks" take exception to these antics is

that
they are dragging the "hooby" (sic) into the gutter. It used to have
standards, both in technical expertise and behaviour. Your post only
exemplifies the lack of both.

Look in a mirror Matt.

How often do you display technical expertise on the NG? (Not often, you keep
getting it WRONG. Look back at Google if you disagree.)

Your behaviour isn't a model of good standards: you spend to much time
trying to ridicule those who are clearly better technically than you will
ever be and doing more to help others in the hobby that you ever will. Other
who claim to have standards think nothing of throwing a serious matter like
child abuse into their petty feuds.

Take the plank from your own eyes Matt.

I think you may have come across a little better if you had said something
in the line of:- "thanks to those people with constructive help and f*ck the
rest of you"...as it is you tarred those that tried to give you advice with
the same brush as you tarred the p*ss takers...

To Matt the Pratt,

Simon, the only reason we "pillocks" take exception to these antics is that
they are dragging the "hooby" (sic) into the gutter.

Hey, Loser. Before you start slating my grammar, try looking at your
own [ Simon, the only reason *we* "pillocks] surely, your choice of
words should have been "us" and not "we"???.

By the sounds of your message, not only should you have used the word
"us" also you should have also replaced the word "pillocks" with
"****ing low-life dimwits"

I bet you read and re-read my post, trying to find any other spelling
mistakes that you could highlight and ridicule me with hey
"sissy-boy"???

I bet you are reading and re-reading this post, also trying to catch
another slip of my typing. Who do you think you are, my English
teacher, Sir?

It used to have
standards, both in technical expertise and behaviour. Your post only
exemplifies the lack of both.

Err, can you please explain that statement too?

Hhmmm, can you tell me how your post was "technical expertise and
behaviour" (whatever that is meant to mean) You are the **** that
didnt even offer any help to my initial message - and you didnt even
put in any stupid comments until now... Very "techinical expertise
behaviour" from you, and thankyou for your valuable help and comments.

My post started as one thing. A simple, polite question on the
newsgroups asking for help with some settings on a Mark 5. And all I
got back apart from one or two helpful replies, was a barrage of
pathetic comments.

And now one from you. You Sir, are obviously nothing that can be
explained better, than a "nincumpoop".

Point taken and agreed.
