Default New term for LandLine Lids

N8CPA came up the new term "Liddite" to characterize those who have been
known for years as "LandLine Lids"...

While discussing the ARESCOM proposal, he says:
----------------------------------------------------
All of this appears to be born of what I call a "liddite" mindset. I use
that term because they frequently refer to those of us who question their
schemes as "luddites." It's a name we earn simply because we know the
difference between using a computer as an Amateur Radio appliance, and using
Amateur Radio as a computer appliance, as the liddites prefer and propound.
----------------------------------------------------

I think the new term "Liddite" is much better than "LandLine Lid" though I
wish there could have been an "OM" in there, as in "Liddomites", for
example.

Somehow "Liddomite" sounds more appropriate, but I guess "Liddite" is really
the best way to go.

I thought chuck was quitting because people picked on him. Then he quit
because he got the letter. Then he didn't have a radio! Make up your
small mind chuck! Just go away!

It's a sad thing when you can only get one anonymous moron to reply after
taking a good poke at the LandLine Lid crowd.

Well Charles
When you are a moron and you make a moronic post about your moron name
sake, what do you expect?

There's no need to get all defensive, I'm sure everybody understands why
yoiu post the way you do. Liddomites have been sniping at legitimate hams
for years from behind bogus identities, etc... (Yawn) It's an old "last
resort of the incompetent" deal, older than internet trolls, in fact. I
remember other clowns doing the same thing on the old fidonet.

So I can't really see you as breaking any new ground, here. - Just the same
old ignorance/arrogance combo that has taken Amateur Telephone to the sorry
situation we see today. In past years, three or fours morons would
respond... - You represent a dying breed, I suppose.

What will we do without the liddomites? ;-)

Charles, I'm not defensive at all. But it was my mistake because
I thought you said K8CPA.
I reread your first post and I see the call is N8CPA. The statements I
made are true of K8CPA. It is my bad, but for you to call me a moron
because I'm old and misread the call is the type of attitude that will
keep you riding a ½ harley!
I didn't call you names in my first post. I made true statements about
K8CPA, but you are like the rest of the heroes here, you never make
mistakes and you still hide behind a keyboard. Just because you put a
call behind your name, this doesn't mean you are really the holder of
the call N5PVL.
