I have heard there are some tubes that use plate caps that are basically the same as a 6L6. The only readon I want to use something like this is because of the design of the output transformer I have. The B+ connection is on the bottom, underside of the chassis, and the plate connection is on the top. Jimmie Basically the same as in beam tetrodes in the same power class, yes. There are tons of them; one good way to figure it out is to get your hands on an ARRL handbook of the appropriate vintage and go shopping among the transmitting and horizontal sweep tubes for ones that look likely. -- Tim Wescott Wescott Design Services http://www.wescottdesign.com Posting from Google? See http://cfaj.freeshell.org/google/ Do you need to implement control loops in software? "Applied Control Theory for Embedded Systems" gives you just what it says.
