Appreciate the response from all here, gentlemen. In fact, the very concept
of a software receiver has me intrigued to try setting up my own on the PC. However, as I look at some of the ones people are using at the websdr.org link, I find most are out of stock. Of course, Winradio has been around for years, but a much higher price tag. Any info on getting a "Softrock" or similar receiver would be welcome. Thanks, Ted "Ted Ham" wrote in message ... I recently came across some literature suggesting on-line Ham receiving stations available for transmitter testing. In other words, I send out a signal on one of the Ham bands and on one of the on-line frequencies, and then either hear my signal immediately on-line or a short time afterwards. Are there frequencies set up on-line and on the Ham bands for such testing? What are the links & frequencies? Thanks, Ted |
