Articles of interest
I've just posted a couple of QST Technical Correspondence items to my
web site. Although published over 20 years ago, they're still relevant and might be of interest to some of the readers of this group. They a "On Solid-State PA Matching Networks" - An important characteristic of matching networks for class C solid state amplifiers, which doesn't seem to be well known even today. "Choosing Wire Size for Toroidal Inductors" - Measurements showing that it doesn't make much difference. But people are still asking. Both are at http://eznec.com/Amateur/Articles/. The L network inductor in "On Solid-State PA Matching Networks" Fig. 1
should be 0.5 uH, not 0.5 mH. The correction I had penciled in 20 years ago was too light to reproduce and I hadn't noticed that it didn't show up. I've uploaded a corrected copy. Thanks to John, KD5YI, for spotting the error. Roy Lewallen, W7EL Roy Lewallen wrote: I've just posted a couple of QST Technical Correspondence items to my web site.
