Latest NEWS/INFO for the NEWSLETTER

PLEASE DO REGULAR UPDATE OF THE eMWS and eMWDXCC at MMMonVHF

The Team of MMMonVHF will use YOUR "Most Wanted" for showing expedition
the most wanted places (specially for MS in europe and EME all over the
world). Remember such nice trips to DXCCs like GU, JW or JD1 these year
or the multi-square operation from Tor, DJ8MS... Some of you did not
update since 01/2007 and so maybe they are not interested anymore or have
had no changes. So therefore we decide to build in a new BUTTON at your
ACCOUNT to click that there was "NO CHANGES" in your "most wanted" since
your last update. Otherwise we will remember your after a years periode
to see if you still have interest in it... NO problem, if not, but than
we will skip these entry after 3 years to have the table as update as
possible (its not a question of quantity, it shall be high quality!).
However, the eMWS and eMWDXCC pages make only sense if the data is as
much up-to-date as possible. So, please feel free to upload your data as
often as you want. SOURCE: The MMMonVHF Team

Badger Contesters net hosted by Todd KC9BQA. Wed. nights, 8:30pm centr.
(9:30pm eastern) - Freq. is 144.250, SSB My QTH is EN63ao, or 40 miles
north of Milwaukee. I start out looking south, where the bulk of our
check-ins are (Milwaukee/Chicago area). Then swing the beams a full 360,
calling CQ Badger Contesters Net about every 20-25 degrees. I start
by looking SW, then W, then NW, N, NE, E, SE. That means Ohio is
typically about 9:40-50pm eastern time. KC8ZJL Dennis and KD8IME
Bob often check in from EN71. It's a fun net, only purpose is to
stir up activity. We get a list of everyone in all directions first,
nd then we go back to each check-in and they say hello to the net.
Stay as long or as little as you care to. Short-timers welcome.
Typically done by 9:30-40pm central time. Often have some ragchewing
afterwards. I post this to the 144 Prop Logger, too. As well as several
regional VHF club email reflectors. We average about 10-14 check-ins
each Wednesday. SOURCE: Andy N8OFS GOT6???

GEMINIDS SPECIAL 2008 - Please do use:
http://www.mmmonvhf.de/ms.php
and have a lot of fun within the shower time!
************************************************** ***************

First night of BCC MS-Contest is past - Of course the condx are
really not as good as we will be able to see it at the maximum of
the shower which is predicetd by IMO for December 13, on 23 UT.
The meteor rates shall be rather high (ZHR around 120 hr -1) near
the maximum time...

For having your antennas always to the best direction we do recommened
to use "VIRGO" a Real Time Meteor Sky View by Sabine, DL1DBC, a small
Java Applet at the webpage: http://www.dl1dbc.net/Meteorscatter/

For all without these possibilities here a short "best QTF-Overview":
N/S: 04-07 & 20-23UT NE/SW: 05-08 & 21-00UT SE/NW: 03-06 & 19-22UT
E/W: 00-02 UT (worst direction of the shower - vy high Radiant!)

The Shower is down horizont 10 to 17 UT! For short distance, back- or
sidescatter tests beam to the Radiant around 00 to 02 UT, its the time
the radiant is very high in elevation (70°)
