1x2 Calls--automatic when upgrading to Extra?

I guess I was fortunate to get mine before all the 3-land calls were
stolen away! Of course, I could have asked for AL7LT, or KH6LT,
but I figured that those calls belong to someone who lives in either
Alaska or Hawaii.

Strangely enough, IIRC, the FCC wouldn't let you have those Alaskan or
Hawaiian calls.
Or a Puerto Rican callsign.
