All Wars (1917/1918) were due a bonus in 1945, but wanted payment
early because they lost their homes in the Great Depression, Franklin

Brian, my boy, don't look now but old Franklin, and Eleanor who probably put
those words in his mouth, since Franklin is widely reckoned to have been
more than just a little bit pussy-whipped, are both dead and buried and
rotted now these almost 60 years ago. Do you suggest that these views
should be endorsed by the current Commander in Chief?

I'm not a democrat, but I must admit that I saw more than one increase in
veterans/retired military benefits during his administration.
