Dave K8MN My wired phones worked just fine during the Christmas ice storm. The adjacent wires carrying power didn't. It's all so confusing. Not when you know that wired phone systems and designs are so old fashioned that they get their power through the telephone line itself rather than the power distribution grid and that many of the phone companies still have their emergency generators to supply power when the power grid does go down.
