Ware are you?

Before you buy one you had better check that the police didn't go encrypted,
trunked digital or you will be throwing your money away. That system is
completely un-scannable I know because all of the emergency services in my
area switched over a few years ago and made all scanners worthless. Even the
news media with bottomless pockets has not been able to break it. I have
seen so many people here that have tried and just ended up throwing their
money away so check with your local radio shops to see what they did.

I've
looked and this unit seems to be the cream of the crop, for my sake of
use.
Would you guys recommend anything else?
