I'm looking to purchase a "digital" scanner (one that can receive and
track APCO-25 systems. From my research, it looks like the only handheld scanners which can track all APCO-25 systems (analog, mixed, and full digital 9600 baud) are the Radio Shack PRO-96 and the Uniden BC296D (and the upcoming Uniden BCD396T). Is all this accurate? None of the other scanner companies (Alinco, Yaesu, etc.) make a digital scanner? My current scanner is the Alinco DJ-X10T, so I'm looking to move up to something than can track both analog and digital trunked systems. Thanks! |
