Default a RAT , SCUMBAG dropped a dime on my newsgroup listings to eBay

The thing that really killed your auction was the comment about the $10
surcharge for PayPal. If I were you, I'd check on my PayPal account and
see if it has been suspended too. Extra fees are something that they are
seriously against because that makes PayPal less attractive as a payment
method.

Ed, my auction said nothing about the winning bidder paying PAYPAL
fees. That was in a for sale post on the radio groups I posted AFTER my
auction got cancelled. I wasn't aware that was a violation. Someone
apprised me of it and I retracted it immediatley.

It's likely that a competitor saw that and narked you to eBay. Usenet
and SPAM probably had nothing to do with it. I didn't see the original
auction listing, only your rec.something posting via Google.

The ONLY reason I can think of for the removal was someone making a
complaint about the newsgroup posting. As you said, either a competitor,
or a no-life jealous lurker. And thanks to your information and insight
we now know they probaboly lied since two of the three groups I posted
on have NO prohibirion against eBay auction postings.

However, since eBay apparently refuse to answer my inquiry as to why the
auction was dumped, we may never know.

Isn't eBay obligated to give you a reason as to why they cancelled your
auction?

IF you posted the deal about charging the Pay Pal fee, then retracted it, it
may have made no difference. Some one could have copied and forwarded to
E-Bay and/or Pay Pal, prompting them to drop you. As you should know, once a
post is made, it is there for all to see. The fact that you retracted it in
another post means nothing. The damage was done, and someone probably
alerted them and since they probably don't read news groups to see your
retraction, their dismissal of your auction - stands.

Quite frankly, "I" can't understand your charging a PAY PAL fee, this is the
first I've ever heard of anyone doing such a thing. It's the same as credit
cards, if you accept them, you pay a fee - about 2% or more... If you want
to recoup the fees, build them into the price to make up the difference
without muttering a word. People would turn and run from any store if they
announced that they're going to charge for your use of a credit card in
their store. For Christ's sakes, if you had a Buy it now, then you obviously
had a price with profit in mind, which you said was not only met, but
exceeded. SOoooo what is the problem? You let the overflow of on the offer
pay that fee - which couldn't have been too bad. A couple bucks to say maybe
$10 tops, which it sounds like you had succeeded in getting anyway. It
doesn't pay to be greedy...... Greed can kill a deal too!

Just my 2 cents.

And if Dan Conti can't think of it, it must not exist!

Why don't you just read the eBay rules and follow them
like everybody else does? Simple solution.
