Hmmm interesting, your saying it works up to 30 metres...well what if
some 1 else within that range required emergency assistance and ONLY had a cell phone to call and died as a resolt of your stupid little toy ,personally I wouldnt give you 2 cent for the jammer ,better yet maybe the DOC or the FCC will come visit you or call you. |

![]() an interesting argument against cellular jammers ..... but don't count on anyone showing up to visit people using them. they are abundant in South Beach Miami and on the Embarcadero in S.F. ..... usually in clubs , sidewalk and upscale restaurants. I've had my cellfone loose all it bars all over the place in these locations and missed important calls because of them. people have complained to the FCC bitterly but they NEVER come to do anything about them. they say that the current budget cutbacks have left them very short of enforcement manpower and they don't have the resources to investigate those jammers. He's the guy standing behind you with a latex glove and a tube of KY!
No, really, DOC is Canada's version of the FCC...aka "Department of Communication". DOC went away years ago.
Industry Canada is the organization. Dave DxxxxxBxx wrote: He's the guy standing behind you with a latex glove and a tube of KY! call phone jammers are good for places where you wanta quiet zone, like
movie theaters, opera houses, and other places where cell phone usage is discouraged well, for me, I just go in hte computer room.. hard to get a cell phone signal in there due to all the computer RFI (RAdio Frequency Interferance) often cell calls drop or are unintelligable... Where Iwork, our computer room, raised floor is 30,000 square feet and loaded with Sun, IBM, HP, and Cisco equipment..usually in there its better to use a land line or a cordless since we have cordless repeaters spaces through out the computer room to provide coverage so we can talk to a hardware vendor while being near the server DxxxxxBxx wrote: I assume the tenant is a loser for some other reason and just happens to use his cell phone. This was a good way to get him out of there. These things have all kinds of practical uses, but, nonetheless, here in the US are illegal and I assume so in Canada as well. The wireless phone companies are going to insure that nothing is done legally to interrupt service to their golden egg. While these may sound like a cure to rude cell phone users, they only work on the symptoms. There will always be selfish, rude, obnoxious people...cell phones just make it easier to identify some of them. It is beyond comprehension how someone can have a normal conversation and then, just because their phone rings, they raise their voice like they are yelling at a basketball game. Once someone is denied 911 or other emergency services by these rogue cell phone jammers, there will be a big law suit and a national P.R. campaign against the things. Whoa! What makes a tenant a "loser" for using his cell phone? More and more people are disconnecting from land lines and going totally cellular. What would make them "losers" ?
