As for what to use the PRO-92 for? It's good for seeking out CTCSS tone codes! Look on the back, by the actual Cat No., see if there is an [A], or [b] suffix after it. The [A] version corrected some minor bugs in the original design. The [b] is pretty much the same as the [A], but they changed the country they were manufactured in. I'm thinking that I'll program the PRO-46 with "intersystem emergency" stuff because it's keyboard entry and that is a royal pain in the posterior! So I figure if all it has is nationwide freqs then maybe I won't have to program it again anytime soon grin. Hadn't thought about using the PRO-92 for the CTCSS stuff (heck I've been out of it for so long I had to look up what CTCSS was!). Good suggestion, thanks.
