1.8 to 2.0 mhz lsb in the evenings. Somewhat active.

3.7 to 4.0 mhz lsb in the evening. Very active during the evenings.

7.0 to 7.4mhz lsb during the day and evening. Very active during the
mornings and day.

14.1 to 14.4 mhz usb during the day and evening. Very active.

21.0 to 21.4 mhz usb days. Not as active, but hams from around the
world can be caught here.

There are other bands but they are much less frequently used.

You will hear hams identify themselves by call sign...a combination of
letters and numbers. The first one or two letters will identify the
country the ham is licensed in. This table will help sorting out where
those singals are originating.

If you are not used to ssb (single sideband) you can find amateurs
using am in the 40 meter band from 7290 to 7300 and in the 80 meter
band around 3880., mostly on weekends.

Why would you or anybody else want to listen to those fat, good for
nothing hams for? Yeah, they are brainiacs. They can take an old TV apart
and fix it. Big deal. On the radio all they talk about are their "Yogi"
wires and what "Rig" they are running. Over and over. When it's a slow
news day TV stations will air a few minutes on the their nightly news once a
year about how Hams save the world with their stupid radios. Give me a
break. We have the internet, cell phones, satellite. Those old arrogant
fat hams can go jump in a lake. Take a yogi and shove it.
