I'm riding my bicycle on a long distance bike tour next
summer. Will be camping out along way

What small rugged model SW would you guys advise for
such a trip?

FR-200. Not "real" small but has the advantage of not needing batteries.
Crank away...
P.S. I wasn't referring to speed when I said crank away....

I have a Kaito 105 that's smaller than the 1101 and fairly rugged,
and the reception is nice.

That thing looks pretty bulky

I have to have small, compact and lightweight as I'm
riding this bike abt 1500 miles and every ounce saved
is worth it

Don't buy that cheap Chinese-made Grundig piece-of-crap FR200 - if you
read the reviews on eham.net and Amazon, you will see that it has
crappy reception and the crank tends to fall off ! Go Grundig !
