Could you tell me the details of your HD experience? Which HD receiver
you use, which antenna, how many HD stations in your area, also what area you're in? Could you direct me to a website that has a current list of USA HD FM stations? Thanks, David N On Jan 9, 9:40 pm, m II wrote: dead of night wrote: Hi. Which HD radio did you buy, and how is it working out for you? The
performance of HD radios is partially dependant on where you live. Some large cities with many 100,000 watt FM stations will challenge an HD receiver. I listened to the Boston Accouctics Receptor at one of my local Radio Shack stores and they didn't even have a good antenna hooked up to the unit, hence reception on all FM channels was compromised. Radio Shack is notorious for having no knowledge of reception hence making themselves look bad. Also they had no list of which stations were HD or which had HD-2 or HD-3. They are sorely lacking in educated sales people, and even the managers were ignorant. Good luck with your HD experience. I found the Radio Shack HD receiver had more information in their display than did the Boston Accoustics Receptor. Dave N........ On Jan 10, 7:36 am, "dead of night" wrote: DJ wrote: Hi. Not interested - buying an HD Radio, is just supporting the HD Radio Cartel, which will destroy the broadcast bands with IBOC's adjacent-channel interference hash ! HD Radio will die, from lack of consumer interest, anyway. Good going ! |

I don't know why you are spreading this myth. |

I don't know why you are spreading this myth. It happens on FM, and it is a well-know fact on AM, especially at night, with sky-wave propagation Why, do you think, the FCC has not authorized IBOC, at night ? Good old iBiquity, destroying the broadcast bands ! But, there is little interest in HD Radio: http://www.google.com/trends?q=%22hd...adio%22%2C+mp3 HD Radio is just a blip-on-the-screen ! Only, a few tens-of-thousands receivers have been sold - there is no consumer interest, in this farse ! |
