The 1103 speaker on its own isn't bad given the fact it's an $80
radio, but I respectfully disagree with the above; I've used the 1103
as a stereo tuner run through an amplifier and it sounded excellent-
no hum or static on FM and more than adequate on AM, And I have a
pair of Klipsch Pro Media 2.0 speakers hooked up to the line out on
the 1103 and, given the setup, is hard to beat for price and
performance.

I don't like the names of kaito and degen either.

Yea, really. And what the heck does DEGEN mean? KAITO? I think a
CUHULIN radio would probably be very nice, everyone would like it AND
IT Would sound very pleasant too.


I run my Kaito into a cheep pair of computer speakers and the setup
sounds AOK. It's not a Mark Levinson, but it sounds pretty darn good.
