I don't know how to break the bad news to you all but about sixty years ago a new revolution came to town called TELEVISION and people haven't been paying allot of attention to the radio as they used to. It's good for what it has to offer, but it's not going to revolutionalize the industry or change our listening habits. It's just going to make our experiences now better. Hey shillers, pfffttttt 2u. |

I don't know how to break the bad news to you all but about sixty years ago a new revolution came to town called TELEVISION and people haven't been paying allot of attention to the radio as they used to. It's funny you should mention that... Before the TV freeze was lifted, radio listening per capita was about 21 hours a week. By 1970, when virtually every home had at least one TV set, radio listening was.... 21 hours a week. Today, after all the innovations starting with the 8-Trak, the cassettes, CATV, CDs, the Internet, video games, computers, iPods and satellite to name a few... average listening per person is 19 hours. |
