For One and All,

Some one on another Group pointed out that the old 5-Wire "Flat"
TV Rotor Cable is getting hard to find.
.
They noted that their RadioShack still had some of the more
common 3-Wire "Flat" TV Rotor Cable available.
.
RadioShack - 100-Ft. Rotator Control Cable (3-Wire)http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2049616
RadioShack Catalog # 15-1150
.
Plus they wanted a simple Multi-Band Horizontal Wire Antenna
to 'span' the 55 Foot distance across their backyard.

- Feed-Point . . . . . . . . . . . . . Far-End -
.
A X------------------------------------------------o 48 Feet ~ 60m
.
B X-----------------------------------o_o--------o 39 Feet ~ 49m
.
C X-----------------------------o_o--------------o 33 Feet ~ 41m
.
A = 48 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 60 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 4.7 MHz
B = 39 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 49 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 5.9 MHz
C = 33 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 41 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 7.1 MHz
.
"X" = Antenna Feed-Point Connection
"-" = Wire Antenna Element
"o" = End 'No' Connection
"_" = One Inch Gap {Space between the Wire Ends}
.
Note # 1 - Do Not Separate The Wires - Maintaining the Integrity
of the Wire Bundle throughout it's length : Except at the
Feed-Point where the Wires may be separated for about 2-Inches
and Stripped and Soldered for about an Inch for Connection to
the Matching Transformer.
.
Note # 2 - Cut the One Inch Gap {Space between the Wire Ends}
very carefully using an Exacto Knife and remove the piece of
Wire while maintaining the integrity of the Wire Bundle.
.
Note # 3 - All of Wire "A' is used; the Far-End 9-Feet Remnant
of "B" is not used; and the Far-End 15-Feet Remnant of "C" is
not used. However they are maintained in the Wire Bundle to
give it uniform strength throughout it's length.
.
Note # 4 - Mounting Height 1/2 A (24 Ft) to 1/2 C (16 Ft)
.
Note # 5 - Use a Longwire {Random Wire} Matching Transformer
and Coax Cable feed-in-line with a good earthen Ground (Rod).
.
MAKE IT LONGER BY TWO SHORTWAVE BANDS :
A = 71 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 90 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 3.2 Mhz
B = 60 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 75 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 3.9 Mhz
C = 48 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 60 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 4.7 MHz
.
MAKE IT SHORTER BY TWO SHORTWAVE BANDS :
A = 33 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 41 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 7.1 Mhz
B = 24 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 31 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 9.4 Mhz
C = 20 Feet ~ 1/4 WL for 25 Metre Shortwave Band ~ 11.6 MHz
