What killed skywave night radio reception was the proliferation of FMs in local markets that offered similar formats without interference and with better quality. It had nothing to do with Reagan. In fact, the only possible detriment to skywave listening then was the 70's decision to break down the 1-A clear channels and to add 1-B stations to each (like KRVN in NE on 880, WCBS's home). |
