Icom 746 Pro as SW Receiver
How does the Icom 746 Pro's receiver compare to some of the medium to
high-end DSP-based SW receivers, such as the JRC NRD-545 and the TenTec DX-340? I'm mostly interested in LW and MW DXing--how does the 746 perform on these bands? It seems to me that the 32-bit DSP and 24-bit AD in the 746 are a cut above the JRC and TenTec, but does this translate into better real- world RX performance? |
