White flares have been fired. Camslant said they'd try to contact Cambio again at 0245. Steve Brooklyn, NY Cambio isn't the vessel in distress. Rather, it sighted the vessel in distress but it's still unclear what the name of the affected vessel is, though the Coast Guard does have its approximate location and is on its way there. Camslant was also communicating with a vessel named "Cherub Cloud", which also sighted the distress flares. Steve Man, if I took down the coordinates of these vessels accurately, they're way out there...hundreds of miles west of the Bahamas. Ouch. Perhaps this is the same Cherub Cloud referenced above: http://cherubcloud.com/Gallery/album19/Bahamas_2007_081 |
