Default WBBM no nighttime IBOC?

WBBM 780 Chicago starting last week has turned
off their IBOC before dawn at least, as evidenced
by the sudden audibility of WABC 770 NYC listening
in Ohio, free of overwhelming IBOC hiss-wash.

WJR 760 Detroit seems to have ceased somewhat
longer ago, and now WABC is a clear channel again.

"Editorial: AM IBOC in Distress?"

"Citadel Director of Corporate Engineering Martin Stabbert embodied
questions about the efficacy of full-time AM HD when he ordered all
his AMs that had already converted to cease transmitting HD at night,
using language that must have given Ibiquity officials heartburn.
Separately and for different immediate reasons, Cox, in a "let's wait
and see" move, has tried HD on most of its AM stations but is taking
it off the air day and night, once tested at each facility."

Stations affected were WJR, WSB, and WABC...

I only know from listening to Imus, starting at 6am, which is
an hour before sunrise in Ohio. Longer before in Chicago.

This is good..............maybe enough people have complained about it.
Next, we need to see 670 and WGN 720 eliminate their evening "noise".
