Default FS: "Edek Torus-Tuner" SW Loop Antenna w/ Amplifier

I have the highly rated Edek "Torus-Tuner" 16" Portable Shortwave
Loop Antenna, with an MFJ Model 1020-A Active Antenna Amplifier
and Power Supply for sale.

Designed and built by K3FDY for shortwave listening from approximately
3 to 30 Megahertz, (the HF shortwave bands), the "Torus-Tuner" Portable
Shortwave Loop Antenna received excellent reviews on eHam.net

Features of this tunable direct connection HF loop antenna include:

Portable/Indoor 16" diameter Loop (Small physical size)
Tunable, 3 - 30 Mhz (Covers all popular shortwave bands)
Very Solidly Constructed
Solid Wood Base
Includes the Connecting Cable with Plugs
Significant Gain over other loop antennas
Excellent ability to null and reject noise
Ideal for those who can't put up an outdoor antenna

I'm selling this "Torus-Tuner" loop antenna with an MFJ Model 1020-A
Active Antenna Amplifier. This combination makes an excellent indoor
or portable shortwave receiving antenna.

Will sell this complete portable loop receiving antenna setup, with a
110 Volt A/C to 12 VDC Power Supply ("wall-wart"), for a USPS
Postal Money Order for $ 65.00 plus the actual shipping charges
(Cont'l U.S. only)

If you're interested, I can send you the URL's for further information
about the Edek "Torus-Tuner" loop antenna, and further information
about using Loop Antennas for Shortwave Radio Reception.

Tnx & 73,

-Bill

Bill.

I'm very interested in this antenna; I am new to world band listening
and have both a Sony 7600GR and Kaito KA2100. Would this antenna be
compatible/work well with either or both of these? If so, I'm pretty
sure I'll take it. Is it possible to send me a photo (to:
)? As I said, I'm new to this and would like to see
what it looks like.

Thanks.

Doug,

The "Torus-Tuner" is a 16" diameter antenna shaped in a "loop" shape;
it looks like a large "donut", and stands vertically in it's (wooden) base.

To answer your question, yes, it would work well with your shortwave
receivers. The output of the MFJ active antenna amplifier is a coaxial
output, but it would work just fine if you were to simply connect it right
to the whip antenna of either of your receivers.

I'll e-mail you with a few URL's which will give you additional info on
this loop antenna specifically, and some general info on loop antennas
for receiving applications in general. Then if you should have any other
questions, just e-mail me directly.

Thanks & 73,

-Bill

Mike,

Attempted to reply to your message in e-mail, but apparently you
don't use a legitimate e-mail reply address here.

If you'd like to take this discussion to e-mail I'd be glad to do so with
you...but I'll need a legitimate e-mail address if I'm to reply to you.
