"Radio Ron" wrote in message ... wrote in message "When BainCapital opened the books it revealed the enormous sums of money and time wasted with HD Radio conversion – at $100K per station.... So, a station is putting less than 1 percent of it's revenue into new and experimental technology is causing a radio recession? The gross revenues for CCU last year was $6 billion. Radio only was about half that. Over the last 4 years, CCU has converted several hundred stations to HD.... let's say it is 100 a year... that's $10 million out of $6 billion. In any case, the HD installs are capitalized and depreciated over multiple years. And capital expenses do not affect revenues at all. |
