What flavor of Linux? Some distros are pure torture; others are more
intuitive than Macintosh.
Oh god, don't get me started on MACs. Does Apple make more than one
computer with exactly the same OS? It's mind boggling how they have the
supposed same OS version, and things are just differently placed enough
to make setting up a network connection a hassle while on the phone with
a clueless user. Two MAC addicts at work have identical model laptops,
with the same OS version, and they aren't the same, even though the
serial numbers are very close. Network settings are in different places,
and even they don't understand it.
And when MACs screw up, they screw up BIG. I would rather deal with the
usually easy to fix PC issues than a screwed up MAC. Sadly, I have to
deal with both at work. I never knew how much I have come to like XP,
until Vista came out.
