At this rate we'll be sharing a prize. m II wrote: Forgive my ignorance, I have no idea of what you are talking about or in what context you are interpreting my postings. Please have the last word, I am leaving this confusing exchange. mike Interesting that you should note that, mike. His responses to you are quite similar in nature to the ones he gave me in our "Made in America" thread. DP, when cornered, seems to give cryptic, confusing and out of context responses. Good if he is trying out for a 'spin doctor' job, but not very conducive to an intelligent debate. Actually, it's a lot simpler than that. I don't repeat myself. Especially, when what I post is still available to reread. If you take something out of context, you'll get a reference to a previous posting. But, of course, if you're not paying close enough attention to actually read what I've written the first time, there's little reason to suggest that you'll get it if I should post it a second or third time. It's a common phenomenon in this culture to have to say something three or four times for it to be heard once. There's no point to discussing something in that mode. The chances of getting from A to B are slim. But that's your strategy, isn't it? Take things out of context, paraphrase, one line from one post, two lines from another, and then rebut the amalgam without every actually having to address what has been said. I'm always up for a good discussion. When you are as well, I'll be glad to enjoin you. But I'm not going to repeat myself because it amuses you. I don't know DP at all, but someone who apparently knew him well in the old days previously posted that his personality has changed. Maybe so. Possibly arteriosclerosis in the brain; maybe an ultrasound scan of his carotid arteries would be in order. No, I just gave up Dr Pepper. But as I said to Richards when he made the same suggestion, I'll be glad to take your USEnet diagnosis to my physician for a consult. I hope they allow conjugal visits. P.S. The above is not meant as a slam. Yes, actually, it is. ![]() |

Well, that's between you and your wife. Billy Burpelson wrote: P.S. The above is not meant as a slam. D Peter Maus wrote: Yes, actually, it is. ![]() No, actually it -isn't-. It was said respectfully and with no malice, the same way that I caution Lare to be careful about mixing alcohol and his pain meds. |
