Lafayette made a Japanese clone that was a better radio.


I have that clone: a fully mint HE-10. It is a lot better than my
S-38C, having nine tubes, an S meter, IF gain control and a lot more
stable. It just looks like the big brother of the S-38!

Hallicrafters had better advertising. Lafayette sold radios, Hallicrafters
sold adventure.
