Is it possible to install both? If so, where would you put them? Also, are the 88SN and 88A1 worth the cost, do they materially improve selectivity? Anyone having hands on experience with these filters could you please advise me? Thanks for your help. I have no idea what to do with the CW filters, but do know that the stock 6 kHz filter had lousy skirt selectivity. I replaced the one in mine at the time with either an International or Fox Tango filter, don't recall but it was a vast improvement. So if you go with Kenwood's improved 6 kHz filter you'll be happy. I just looked up the following: http://kb2ljj.serveftp.com/kenwoods/R-5000%20handbook.pdf If you've not seen it it may be of some interest to you. dxAce Michigan USA |
