Generally, a ground-plane is not referred to as counterpoise, but it certainly IS one; it "balances" an unbalanced antenna by providing the mechanics where the counterpart of the wave may be mirrored. And, although every ground-plane IS a counterpoise, not every counterpoise need be a ground plane ... again, DUH! Regards, JS |
