Drifter...- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Drifter, I believe Obama was clearly born in Hawaii. The re-prints of his local birth announcement in a Honolulu newspaper are pretty persuasive, unless you think a conspiracy involving time travel took place to plant evidence. There is a very legalistic explanation of why he might be considered a British-Kenyan citizen due to that being his father's citizenship status and his mother being underage (a legal provision which no longer exists) thus being too young to convey automatic US citizenship to her child. Sounds like a stretch, but there might be a case in that context. But even if it's true, there's no mechanism to apply it to removing Obama from the Presidency, particularly after the election. A Congress controlled by his own party won't do it. The Supreme Court has no desire to get involved after the heat they felt for 2000. Most Republican legislators wouldn't even support such an attempt due to the public outcry at trying to remove a popular minority President. He won the election. The Republicans are smart enough to realize that they'd be much better off focusing on 2012 instead of jousting with unenforceable legalism. At least, they'd better be. Nice hearing from you, Drifter. Great every thing is fine on your end. I'm not a lawyer, but, i can see nothing in the Constitution that would really cover this. You need to go back and read it. It is very plain. most of it is sour grapes. some people just can't get with the idea of a black American in the white house. i meet the man 3 different times during the election. i found him vary intellectual, and on top of things. this was so important for an independent like myself. President tele-prompter is sooo smart he even thanked himself in a speech. This guy is a slow learner and now we get to pay the price for it. i couldn't take the other side, the old man screwed over the vets just too many times. and that Caribou Barbie was too much of a phony for me. McCain was unelectable. I could not vote for him either. Half the republicans out there could not bring themselves to vote for McCain and that's reason we now have the obominator. McCain sold his soul a long time ago. The latest on the obomination vet agenda is to force vets to use their private medical insurance in instead of using their the veterans benefits. You think this is fair treatment of out vets? I don't. Arrogance and stupidity go hand in hand with the obomination where the head of the veterans administration even made a statement after the meeting with obomination he was so put off by him. Just what we need, an arrogant, stupid president that will not listen to reason. i don't expect to like everything the new prez does, but i will give him a chance before i jump. unlike the old man, he puts the country before his party. What's to like about the guy? He is a liberal and means to follow through on the liberal agenda. This is the wrong guy at the wrong time and will just use any problem or crisis to promote more socialism. so, i'm holding my breath; anyone could do better than the last clown we had. i believe most people don't have an understanding of what it takes to be prez. it really is on-the-job-training. so, lets hope for the best. The obomination already makes Bush look smart. The obominator will not be ready for this job 4 years from now. -- Telamon Ventura, California |
