Air America is still in business; more importantly what they started is
now bigger than they are. Randy Rhodes, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck
all work for the same company.

Although there are 14,000 radio stations there are only a few hundred
that completely cover major markets, where the people are.

I'll bet you about half of your 3,000 NCE stations are religious, and
quite right-wing. 501c3 non-profit entities are prohibited from
political advocacy, as in risking their tax exemption. You will not
find unanswered diatribe from the left on NPR type stations.
