The GOP raided SS and medicare/aid since the 70s to balance the budget! very fiscally unresponsible. Of the public schools in Illinois, Chicago has the highest dollar-per-pupil spent, and the lowest test scores, the lowest graduation, and the highest dropout rates, in the state. While Blue Mound, Illinois, has the highest test scores, the highest graduation and the lowest dropout rates in the state. While spending less than half, per pupil, than Chicago. The problem with the schools, as the problem with 'No Child Left Behind,' is not money. The Dems handed the republican't party (in 2001) a country that was in the black for the first time in many years and they ****ed it up pretty bad but yet blame the last 6 months on the Dems. Bill Clinton 'balanced the budget,' on paper only, with a 10 year projection by including the Social Security 'trust fund' in the General Revenue fund. There was no surplus. There's not been a surplus. We were no more 'in the black,' than we were prepared for 9/11. What was handed Bush in 2000 was a country in debt, with a demoralized military and a defense system riddled with roadblocks, and institutionalized ignorances just as was experienced by Roosevelt in 1940. The difference was that Roosevelt created his problems. Bush's were inherited. In the last 6 months, the national debt has skyrocketed, spending is flat out of countrol, and government intrusion in the private sector is at a all time high. All of which were done by policies of this President, after the election. None of which has created a single job, revitalized a single industry, or enhanced a single matter of security. Most of which have resulted in enormous debt held by our enemies, and a President that was bitch slapped on the world stage a week ago. Then he's handed a Nobel Prize for his accomplishments voted him after only 11 days in office. And Fox News is the problem? Maybe you're right. Clearly YOUR school could have spent a few more dollars. How's that Hope and Change working for you? Still tricklin' down Michelle's leg.... LOL! I am, dxAce ... and I have spoken... ...though most will not listen! |
