Default Alkalines versus NiMH

Replace at 2/3 sounds useful. You wouldn't want to be out on
a hike, and have your CB go dead.

What do you do with the 1/3 charged batteries? Hope you
don't leave them out on in the woods, or desert or
something.

The life of the battery is more or less fixed. That is,
it's a
consistent drain, and so life of a given battery line from
fully
charged is the same unit to unit. You can count on the life
of the
battery being a more or less constant number of hours.

Keep track of the hours on a battery, replace it at 2/3's
of life.

I used all wireless mics on all my live radio, TV, and
stage
shows. Never a problem with mics due to battery life.

I did notice some wireless mics were intermittent, from
time to
time. Traced that to a poor battery fit. Returned from
Energizers to
Duracells or ProCells and the problem never returned.
