Default Recharagible batteries recommendations?

Hello,
Anyone happy with a particular brand of NiMH batteries? I use
mine with portable shortwave radios.
Thank you,
Mike McM.

I'm running Sanyo "eneloop" in my Uniden TT 4/ 396T. a slow charge
from my MAHA C808, bout 35 to 45 min. i get over 10 hours. these
are 2K mAh, NiMH. under $10.00 for pack of 4. the cool thing is
they hold their change, un used on the shelf a long time. so, in
the long run, you get more for your money. i have never had any
rechargeable last over 7 hours in the HH scanners. good luck.

Ditto on ENELOOP. That is all I buy these days for rechargeable. I
don't recall seeing them that cheap though.

I buy from www.greenbatteries.com. I bought a case of their generic AAs,
and they seem to be working pretty well. One problem I have had with
them is that some seem to have a sticky substance on patches of the
surface, similar to the sticky stuff on Post-It notes. It rubs off, but
before I noticed it I managed to glue a battery in the innards of my
7600GR, and had a tough time prying it out. Otherwise, they seem to work
well.

I like Kodak or Duracell. Whatever Wal-Mart has on sale.

I buy Tenergy NiMH batteries from All-Battery.Com. I've used them for
about two and a half years. 24 AA batteries cost about $25, and they
come with cool little four-battery plastic holders.
