VoR, for the past several days, has begun to transmit its standard evening EE BC relay from 0200 onward via Fr.Guiana on 9735 kHz, a blockbuster signal as of May 17. Also available for you Moldova lovers just 70 kHz lower on 9665 kHz, with a weaker but other quite readable signal at 0300z. Bruce Jensen California, USA FWIW, VoR switched back to Spanish during the 0200-0400 period on 9735 kHz again tonight after only three nights in English. Oh, well - a mistake? A test? A power struggle between the two mighty Western Hemisphere languages? The world may never know... ;-) Whatever it was, VoR came in better in English than at almost any other time ever... The days when one could receive nearly round-the-clock signals from Radio Moscow, BBC, VOA etc. in the Eastern USA are long gone... dxAce Michigan USA |
