This seems to be a digital remake of the old analog
Panasonic RF-2400 AM & FM Radio -wrt- same
shape, general size and handle.http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...aFikIOwJuWM6Hl...

So I bought one for US$13+FS and the conclusion is
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ~ RHF

The Volume Control Know has bumps in it as you rotate it.

The Frequency Display is Off by several kHz.

The Frequency Display is only 4-Digits which is OK
for AM/MW and FM -but- IFfy for SW

Has "AM" & "FM" Icons in the LCD Display
-but- No "SW" Icon -you-see- "AM" & MHz
* SW above 10 MHz the LCD Display is 12.34 MHz
and below 3.21 MHz in 0.01 MHz {10 kHz}
* FM above 99.9 MHz the LCD Display is 102.4 MHz
and below 88.3 MHz in 0.1 MHz
* AM/MW above 1000 kHz the LCD Display is 1234 kHz
and below 753 kHz in 1 kHz units

Shortwave has WWV at 10 MHz and 9.4 MHz
plus several Valley AM/MW Radio Stations that
are over 50 Miles away can be heard on SW.

AM/MW and SW Filter is way to wide
-oops- may not be any . . .

Sound is OK -but- The Coby's 3" Speaker is smaller
than Panasonic's 4" Speaker.

Band Switch has to be 'force' {Sticks} to switch bands.

One nice thing is that it uses 2 "D" Batteries
and should run forever on them. {Hopefully}

Same basic 'Case' as the Panasonic RF-2400 -but-
There are no Panasonic quality electronics inside.

HELLO 'Coby' Try Building "Quality" Into Your Radios.

Coby has a long-standing reputation for nearly disposable portable
gadjets. Comparing Coby to Panasonic is nothing less than profligacy
of the latter's good name. In fact- the two should not even be
mentioned in the same sentence !
