And the results prove it: Asians who have just arrived in the West -- who have far more cultural differences from us than do Blacks -- test much higher than Blacks and, in some cases, higher than native-born Whites. Gee, you must be referring to... 1) ...those Asians that had a great (not third rate) education like most blacks receive. 2) ...those Asians that work -hard- on their homework instead of wasting their time with mindless TV and Nintendo like native-born whites. Your "results" prove NOTHING; you just don't seem to want to admit that a third rate education can have a drastic negative effect on IQ (or any other) tests. Finally, you have dodged explaining how someone with poor READING skills (from a third-rate education) can be expected to do well on a WRITTEN test -- that they have to READ. Duh! [...] Personal attacks ignored. When testers correct for all those factors -- and they've been doing that for half a century or more -- there is still a very large difference in average IQs between the races. It's real -- as anyone with common sense and experience can tell you. It is, however, a very real liability to assert this point. Shockley would have explained, with some authority. Being a hot button issue, race can cloud any discussion where it may have even an oblique contact. And once race has entered the discussion, all rational exchange stops. Which is--and has been for time, now--the goal. As it is here. |
