Default DW is cutting back .

DW is in the process of closing several relay sites . The plan is to
cut back SW broadcasts from 260 to just 55 hours .

Not just several relay sites and hours, but many langauges as well.
From our NAm perspective, probably not a big deal, since the Kigali
transmitter will remain operational, with English, and it is well-
heard on this side of the pond - but S & SE Asia will really miss the
Trincomalee language broadcasts. Several Indian and Sri Lankan
friends have expressed dismay.
