Use ice at the spine at the same level as your perceived pain. This is a
poor man's epidural.

I have an old ice pack thingy I bought at a Rexall drug store back in
the 1950s.Unscrew the metal cap and put ice in the bag thingy.I know it
is floatin around here somewhere.Another day or two and my back/hip will
be much better, I Hope.I should have put those two radiators in the
crawlspace under my house.I will do that someday, and a bunch of other
junk too.

I can't lift more than 30 pounds without wrecking my back for a couple
days. I get help.
