A geomagnetic sudden impulse was also observed. Minor geomagnetic storming may be possible at high latitudes. WARNING: Geomagnetic K-index of 5 expected Valid From: 2011 Oct 05 1315 UTC Valid To: 2011 Oct 05 2359 UTC Warning Condition: Onset NOAA Scale: G1 - Minor SUMMARY: Geomagnetic Sudden Impulse Observed: 2011 Oct 05 0742 UTC Deviation: 19 nT Station: KBOU New Active Sunspot: A near M-Class solar flare reaching C9.2 took place at 12:42 UTC Wednesday morning and was centered around a new Sunspot region that rotated into view in the southeast quadrant.
