Dan I have given up on calling..10 calls wih nary a response.. I'm surprised he even accepted the radio in for service. Ross has said that he will longer work on the later Satellits thanks to chronically bad support from Grundig. It must be even worse for the Chinese radios, not to mention Grundig's having gone under. |

Mike.
In retrospect you are 100% correct.. I just figured it was a minor problem that could be easily fixed.. I actually may take your advice now.. I didn't know they were that inexpensive used.. Thanks Jack (Mike Maghakian) wrote in message . com... I am not sure what you are thinking, spending all this time and money on a radio that you can buy on-line used for $40 ? You are spending far more than the radio is worth. why didn't you just buy another used one ? universal has a used YB400 for $89 and that is close to what you will have invested in repairs. you should have thrown away the 305 when it broke and invest all that money in a working radio. (Jack) wrote in message . com... Has anyone else had problems with getting a Grundig Radio repaired? Grundig has 2 shops in the US that they recommend for repairs and to get in touch with these people is nearly impossible.. I sent my Grundig to Bavarian Radio in Massachusetts in the beginning of June and I still have no idea if it has even been recieved by them! I left numerous messages and even spoke to a person there who said he would "call me back".. Hasn't happened yet and that was 3 weeks ago.. Buyer beware.. DO NOT BUY A GRUNDIG.. The radios are fine but God forbid there is a problem you are screwed.. I have never seen poorer cust. service or communication in my life.. When I called Grundig about the matter they said there is nothing they can do.. Here's an idea Grundig.. Recommend reputable and responsible repair shops.. |
