	I'm considerig to bye a Grund. YB-400 PE this week and as far as I can understand units differ in quality greatly (from one another)... So could you give me any advises as how to check the radio when bying? I thought about Sony 7600, but can't find them on sale in Russia, but Grund is available. Thanx a lot! 	read the manual briefly. - I'd just turn it on, walk over to a window, extend the anntenna put the switch on DX, try AM ( and have a station ou can tune it to) try SW ( and a station or two) try FM try all the different buttons and switches, - does it work when you plug it in? 			Why would someone in Europe (Russia) want to buy a Grundig YB-400.  That 
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	
	radio eats batteries and it seems that a better choice would be any of the late production models that were produced in Furth, Germany. I own a YB-400 Grundig and I will sell it to you real cheap and keep my Sangean 818 for a reliable Shortwave radio. Roger West Michigan - USA .. ..  |

	I don't agree with you. I have a YB400 and I use it all over the world. I have found that it does great on batteries and they seem to last a very long time.
