![]() "Bill Beam" wrote in message ... Recently went to the home page of EBay and noticed other countries listed. Went to English site, German, and Spanish. My question is: Has anyone visited these sites from U.S. computer and bought something? I was thinking I could get a cool vintage radio that I might not be able to find over here in the States. I know some US EBay sellers ship international so I figure it might go the other way. Could someone that might have done this please help me get started if it's possible? Is it more "chancy"? Thx I've never bought anything from the other e-bay sites, but I have bought things from a couple of vendors in Lithuania, and everything went flawlessly. The shipping was surprisingly quick and priced reasonably. These were small packages. Larger packages and different countires might whole 'nother story. I was able to use the BidPay service, which does charge a fee, but I don't think the fee is too bad compared to international bank checks, or whatever they're called. I'd do it again, but if it's a radio, I'd double check every detail before making any commitments. I'm sure there's alot of practical expierence at the rec.radio.antique+phono newsgroup. Might be worth asking there, too. Frank Dresser |
