Hi,

I had a DX-394B and I live in a high rise. I put a wire around the perimeter
of our bedroom (that's where I had the 394) and attached it to the whip
antenna with an alligator clip and it worked great - made a huge difference
in my reception. That same wire is now attached to my Sat-800 (my best
friend now has the DX-394B) the same way and it works wonders on it too.
