It's hard to truly have love without hate, and visa versa. If you love
your child you will hate the dog, snake or pervert that would harm it.
Same with your wife. If you love her you will hate anything that would
harm her.

God said, Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated. We are to love
righteousness and hate evil. etc., etc.
