I was listening to WWV on 15000 this morning about 1430-UTC (Saturday, USA) and heard some faint tones repeating in the background. It sounded like morse code for the letters STN. I can't find a listing for a time station with these letters. Anybody know more about it? Never heard of "STN", but I know that BPM from China makes it to the West Coast regularly. Also used to hear BSF (Taiwan) and JJY (Japan) occasionally. If the signal was really weak and you couldn't hear all the tones, you could mistake BPM for STN. |
