All I have to do is erase the memory and substitute my own
selected freq.? (I've noticed, however, that if a particular
frequency is already stored, you can't duplicate it on another
page...)


Yes, you can. Go to the page you want it to be on, press meter band that you
will use and dial in the frequency then press the memory button. Or you can
type in a frequency and dial up to the one you plan to store.
